Maricopa County continues to solicit input on the White Tank Grand Avenue Area Plan and will provide the next opportunity for community feedback on September 27, 2023 at Morristown Elementary School. The County will host an in-person public meeting where community members will have the chance to learn about the update process, talk with the project team, and provide input on key priorities related to a variety of topics, including land use, transportation, economic development, the environment, and more.

Background on the White Tank Grand Avenue Area Plan
Maricopa County’s Vision 2030 Comprehensive Plan supports the concept of area plans, which provide more specific and localized planning guidance for unique areas in the County. The White Tank Grand Avenue Area Plan is one of eight County Area Plans. This 727 square mile region has experienced significant growth since adoption of the plan in 2000 and is being updated to better reflect current conditions and future aspirations for the area. The update process is designed to ensure the region is planned holistically and in coordination with the wide range of stakeholders and other interested parties in the area.
Plan Update Timeline
The County will be engaged in the White Tank Grand Avenue Area Plan update process from now through winter 2024. There will be opportunities for the public to get involved and share input through December 2023.
