What are the non-hazardous liquid waste transfer facility regulations?
Construction of a non-hazardous liquid waste transfer facility cannot commence prior to receiving an “Approval to Construct” from the Department.

Facilities shall be operated in an approved sanitary manner that minimizes exposure to flies and other inspects, spillage, odor, and without causing other hazards or dangers to the public health. Facilities shall be designed to prevent emission of any offensive odor beyond the boundary of the facility, and shall not be operated in a way that emits any such odor on a persistent basis beyond the boundary of the facility. The facility must be designed to prevent wastes from being deposited into any waters of the County or upon or under any land within the County, except as approved by the Department.
